This European Standard specifies a procedure for the determination of the content of benzo[a]pyrene (BaP) in extender oils which are commonly used in the rubber industry for the production of tyres or parts of tyres. The method also yields the sum of eight individual polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs).
